Why is sizing Important?
Protective eyewear is tested in the laboratory on rubber head forms before it ever gets to the consumer. These head forms are based on statistical averages for human head sizes. When the eyewear is compliant, it is approved for wear on that size head on which the testing passed compliance. Eyewear that is too small bows forward on a big head and conversely eyewear that is too big sags on a small head. This type of fit would never pass the impact requirements nor be acceptable to the wearer who would find them uncomfortable to wear.
Impactz Eyewear "EKTO" model: Who will this actually fit?
- It's considered a "medium" size
- It fits smaller faces and heads
- It fits most 8-13 year olds, that's bantams through smaller adult females
- Ideal hat size is 6 3/4, adjusts much smaller, and out to 7 hat size
- FACT: No two faces are exactly alike and no single eyewear will fit all faces.
What's important to fitting the eyewear to your head?
- Make sure the eyewear is positioned directly over the eyes.
- Find the "sweet spot" on your face. frame should sit just on the eyebrows, raising it off the nose and cheek bones
- Make sure the head strap is tightened to fit snuggly upon the head but not too tight to make it uncomfortable
- Make sure it does not bow forward or sag off your face when tightened.
- If is loosens up during play, be sure to re-adjust the head strap for the snuggly fit.
